I grew up in the country on a small farm. We always had a garden so things were canned every year. Some years one thing would outgrow others so you put up as much as there is, it may not do well next year. At different times we raised pigs, ducks and chickens. These were all for food and us kids knew this from the start. If we had not raised animals and gardened we would not have eaten much at times, things were tough back then.
Fast forward to today. I am back raising chickens both meat and layers. The gardening was a continuing love affair through out my life. This spring I am about to embark on the adventure of beekeeping. So excited to learn more ways to be independant ans self-sufficient.

After prepping for two years, I start categorizing people as I meet them and mentally sort out who will live and who won’t. I know that sounds terrible – but some people have their head so far down in the sand, they can’t help but be culled from the herd.

Voting. I love the song, there is no reason to not prepare. Life makes many turns and you never know what will come until it is there. If you are not ready you will not last.
