We hope you love our video. Our family and neighbors loved making it. It’s a parody of Chuck Testa’s commercial that you can find on You Tube.

Here is the original Chuck Testa video so you can compare.

Brittany Stoker · April 7, 2012 at 4:32 am

Oh my gosh. I do love your video. A LOT. Way better than Chuck Testa, even. Believe it!
I love your depiction of the dreaded “swine squirrel flu.” 🙂

    Elisabeth · April 7, 2012 at 6:23 pm

Swine squirrel flu?…. I think I had that once.

Julie Dever · April 7, 2012 at 10:39 pm

Seriously that was an awesome video. I vote for you.

Lonna · April 7, 2012 at 11:28 pm

Beth–you win the oscar for this video. Your realistic reaction to an earthquake was so believable I feared for your unborn baby’s life. The polka dot pajama robe was a nice touch.

Thanks Emily for the nice comments. Alex thinks the earthquake part is the funniest in the whole video. He says, “Mommy silly.” Thanks for the five votes. Now I just have to get the other siblings to vote too.

I love the video! The bread from the oven almost looked real!

Joel · April 21, 2012 at 8:31 pm

Now I know who’s house to go to in case of a disaster. lol

Joel · April 21, 2012 at 8:33 pm

I can’t believe you made a homeless kid do work for your video. I hope you at least gave him a good meal.

Joel · April 21, 2012 at 8:43 pm

Have you ever thought about the word disaster? The dictionary says that “dis” is a Latin prefix meaning “apart,” “asunder,” “away,” “utterly,” or having a privative, negative, or reversing force. And aster is Greek for star. So, putting those together, if our star, the sun, was torn asunder or suddenly went away I’d say we would probably have a pretty bad disaster on our hands.

Joel · April 21, 2012 at 8:45 pm

That sun oven was pretty cool. Where did you get that?

    Michael · April 22, 2012 at 1:08 am

The bread was for real Joel. We ate some for dinner that night. I got my sun oven from Fivestarpreparedness.com. We plan to use it quite a bit this summer to bake stuff without heating the house up.

Jessica · April 22, 2012 at 1:14 am

Tiave · April 22, 2012 at 5:17 pm

Ummm…ok. Well, can’t say I didn’t try bro. I don’t know what is going on with this thing. Its starts to run, and then a little bit it, the fps rate starts to slow, and then….it stops.

Liz Woolf · April 22, 2012 at 5:32 pm

Melissa · April 26, 2012 at 4:07 am

Always fun at the Bishop’s house!

Melissa · April 26, 2012 at 4:09 am

Will you teach me how to make that bread?

Melissa · April 26, 2012 at 4:15 am

Swine squirrel flu? Better grab my sanitizer.

Annie Hadlock · April 26, 2012 at 12:44 pm

Neil Petersen · April 26, 2012 at 1:01 pm

I loved the earthquake in bed

Neil Petersen · April 26, 2012 at 1:04 pm

The bread looks good, and makes me hungry.

Neil Petersen · April 26, 2012 at 1:06 pm

Is the swine squirrel flu a new sickness since the emergency?

Jen · April 26, 2012 at 2:08 pm

Fun! Cute family Mike!

Jen · April 26, 2012 at 2:09 pm

Cooking in a solar oven sounds intense. I’ve heard of them, but never seen them.

Jen · April 26, 2012 at 2:10 pm

Looks like a fun thing to work on as a family.

Jen · April 26, 2012 at 2:11 pm

Good luck!

Jen · April 26, 2012 at 2:12 pm

Phillip · April 26, 2012 at 4:09 pm

I love it!

Phillip · April 26, 2012 at 4:10 pm

I thought the movie was cool because of the flying squirrel.

Phillip · April 26, 2012 at 4:11 pm

When I was scared when mom asked me to say “Nope, just testing.”

Phillip · April 26, 2012 at 4:11 pm

I also liked the part “Is that box baking bread?”

Phillip · April 26, 2012 at 4:12 pm

And the best part I loved was when Alex said “Nope, just testing.” It was cool.

Amelia B. · April 26, 2012 at 4:14 pm

I liked the singing on the deck.

Amelia B. · April 26, 2012 at 4:15 pm

I also liked the candy part when we cleaned out our 72 hour bags and ate the food inside.

Amelia B. · April 26, 2012 at 4:15 pm

It was fun to throw pillows at mom to practice the earthquake.

Amelia B. · April 26, 2012 at 4:16 pm

I liked saying, “Nope, just testing.”

Amelia B. · April 26, 2012 at 4:16 pm

I really like watching our movie over and over.
