Recipe Friday

recipe boxToday's recipe comes from the recipe box of my mom.  This was one of her go to dishes when she was participating in a potluck.  It was always a hit and she always went home with an empty dish and requests for the recipe.  This would be an excellent addition to your menu for this weekend with the big game happening.

Another great thing about this recipe is that it has only two ingredients, and yes it can be made from my pantry.   Enjoy!

Chili Cheese Dip

2 cans of your favorite chili with beanscan chili, sharp cheese

Grated Medium or sharp cheddar cheese (you can use Jack or Pepperjack Cheese)

Pour the chili into a medium sized pan and warm through.  Next take a potato masher or stick blender and mash up the beans.  Once the beans are mashed, start adding the cheese (about 1/2 cup at a time) and stir to get it melted in.  Keep adding cheese until you cannot stir anymore in.  Serve with cut up bread chunks.
