I’ve only written a few articles for Preparedness Pro related to firearm self-defense but I often hear questions from folks asking how a city girl got “converted” to this form of self-defense. Self-defense is a necessary component of preparedness. The escalating crime and violence inflicted on our law abiding citizens is indicative of this. If this is what is happening when “times are good” imagine what will transpire when the slightest amount of chaos and discomfort occurs. I believe that a firearm is the ideal form of self-defense. And because I believe that, I’m going to share with you my story of how I went from a city girl who wasn’t raised around such thoughts and tools to becoming a firearms instructor and marksman.

Let me ask you a question. Would you cook up fresh popcorn only to stuff it in a garbage bag, store it on the floor of a closet overnight, and then serve it the next day as “fresh popcorn?” Would you even want to eat such a food item? If so, would you be willing to pay “theater prices” for such a treat?

Yes, you do have a right to be a fanatic. When it comes to war, any war, the winner is always the one who never assumes they are safe. These same tactics must be applied to germ warfare as well.
It’s a critical consideration for any person who intends to be prepared for whatever comes their way and yet it seems too taboo to discuss.
It will assuredly save your life or that of your family, and yet many shrug it off.
In the name of goodness many folks ignore it. Yet true goodness is willing to battle evil.

Lately my husband and I have been discussing what we think our known enemies intend to do next. Why do we presume that there’s more? Well, if you’ve looked into the deep-seeded hatred and hollow shell of morality of those who orchestrated the original 9/11 attack, you know that their satisfaction is unresolved. Their appetite for destruction is insatiable. To put it simply, there wasn’t enough mayhem and destruction felt from the original attack. We Americans have the audacity to move on with our lives. We’re not crippled yet. We’re still free. We still live in a Republic. Thus, the goal of the enemy has not yet been met.
